This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Instructor is an exciting one. Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science centers working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center seeks Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Critical Care Physician for full time faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. The successful applicant will join a 15-member group and attend in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University and at Harlem Hospital – NYC Health+Hospitals. The successful candidate will also have experience and committed academic interest for scholarly work in education, quality, or clinical research.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a MD or DO degree and an active NYS Medical License
  • Must have Board Certification / Eligible
  • Consistently strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and sustain effective working relationships with professionals in other disciplines;
  • The ability to create a high-energy results-oriented work environment that encourages colleagues and staff to value each other's contributions; and
  • The ability to share and celebrate success with colleagues and staff.

Hiring Salary Range: $200,000 - $210,000

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
