Position Title

Title: Assistant Professor of Operations and IT Management Section: US: Full-Time Academic (Tenure Track) Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States

The Operations and ITM Department in the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business, Saint Louis University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant professor position beginning in the Fall of 2024. Candidates are sought in research and teaching related to data analytics, business statistics, machine learning, data visualization or a related area. The candidate should be familiar with data analytics software/programming languages (e.g., R and Python). IT work experience related to data analytics is highly desirable. Candidates must also demonstrate evidence of high-quality teaching. The ideal candidate should be interested in teaching courses in business analytics, data visualization, data mining, supply chain analytics, and advanced business statistics. The ability to teach core IT Management topics such as Database Management and Cybersecurity will be preferred.

The successful candidate should expect to have the interest to conduct and publish high quality research; teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods; and make positive contributions to the department, school, and university assignments. The candidate must have or expect to complete a PhD degree in MIS, IT Management, Data Analytics, or a related field by August 1st, 2024. Salary and teaching requirements are commensurate with other balanced universities.
