Creighton University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning August 2022. We seek individuals committed to being outstanding teacher-scholars within a primarily undergraduate institution. A Ph.D. in Statistics or Mathematics is required. Successful candidates will have strong evidence of excellent teaching and scholarly potential. While all areas of Statistics or Applied Math will be considered, strong preference will be given to applicants with a background in Biostatistics or Biomath.

The initial application includes a cover letter, a current curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, and a research plan. Applicants must also submit at least three reference letters, and at least one of them must explicitly address teaching. The position's duties typically include a 3 courses/semester teaching load, substantive progress on research or scholarly work, and department service. The department has been extremely active in interdisciplinary outreach and programs, such as the new interdisciplinary Data Science Program, Medical Mathematics major program for pre-health science students, and courses taught for the health administration and policy program.
