Job Description:

This is a eleven-month assistant professor of instruction (non-tenure track) position that reports to the Chair of the Department of Social Work. Teaching across the curriculum with a special emphasis on Graduate Field Practicum courses in an online format. The assistant professor of instruction will teach 4 courses per semester, with the possibility of advising social work students. Additionally, this candidate will be expected to engage in service to the department, college, university, and profession.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned MSW from an accredited program and at least two years post MSW practice experience

Licensed social worker or eligible to be licensed at any level

Ability to teach online and using educational technology

Ability to effectively communicate with students, colleagues and community partners

Commitment to diversity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Evidence of successful college/university teaching experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with online course development/delivery
• Evidence of successful college/university advising experiences
• Experience supervising students in an agency setting
• Licensed Independent Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• Social work/teaching experience in rural areas
