Position Summary:
The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida (USF) celebrates diversity and inclusive excellence among our faculty. We seek to fill a 9-month, full-time, non tenure-earning position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
The position is expected to start August 7, 2024 on the Tampa campus, with a competitive salary. The position duties include but are not limited to:
- Teaching large enrollment general chemistry courses and curriculum development.
- Teaching sub-discipline chemistry courses
- Serving on departmental committees.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry or a closely related field with a promising record of achievement in teaching, and academic service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have teaching experience in large enrollment general chemistry courses as well as teaching experience in sub-discipline chemistry courses.
