Posting Text | The Department of Geography & Geospatial Sciences at South Dakota State University seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 2024, with a specialization in Geographic Information Sciences (GISc). We are looking for a creative and innovative professional to help develop and grow our GISc program. This is a 9-month, full-time, benefit-eligible position, with a 40% to 60% teaching load. This position is supervised by the Department Head for Geography and Geospatial Sciences. The Department of Geography & Geospatial Sciences offers B.A/B.S. degrees in Geography, B.S. Geographic Information Sciences, B.S. Community and Regional Planning, M.S. degrees in Geography and Geography – GISc Specialization, and a Ph.D. in Geospatial Science and Engineering. The Department also houses the Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence.
