Position Summary
The Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research seeks a full-time, 9-month, tenure track faculty member for the Educational Psychology and Research program, with an emphasis on Adolescent Development, beginning August 15, 2022 (Position #001679). The Educational Psychology and Research Program is predominantly a doctoral educational program using an apprenticeship model and emphasizing research productivity. This program also provides a wide range of service courses and academic support for all graduate degree programs in the College of Education. The position requires teaching of graduate courses, a significant program of scholarly research, research publications, the pursuit of external funding for research, mentoring and supervising research of graduate students, chairing and serving on master’s and doctoral committees, and participating in national professional organizations and university and college committees. The successful candidate will teach courses primarily in human development, with a special emphasis on adolescent development. 
Minimum Position Qualifications
Required 
• An earned doctorate in Educational Psychology or closely related field 
• Expertise in adolescent development with a broader perspective on how it maps onto lifespan development and educational contexts 
• Evidence of research potential and publication record 
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion 
 
Desired 
• Evidence of teaching excellence 
• Evidence of federally funded grant awards or participation in funded projects 
• Interdisciplinary and/or international experience conducting collaborative research 
• Evidence of publications in key professional journals in the field

The Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research (CEPR) offers seven graduate certificates, seven master’s, and three doctoral degrees in its three principal areas (www.memphis.edu/cepr). SALARY & BEGINNING DATE 
 
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The University offers an excellent benefits package including healthcare and retirement. The position (#001679) is a nine-month tenure track appointment with the possibility of summer teaching. The anticipated date of appointment is August 15, 2022.
