The School of Education and Counseling is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin Fall 2023.
Qualifications/Requirements
The School of Education and Counseling invites applicants with a doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision with experience in mental health counseling/school counseling from an accredited program or equivalent terminal credential meeting CACREP core faculty eligibility requirements. ABD candidates, or those currently working toward a doctorate in this field will also be considered. Applicants must be licensed, or license-eligible, in Indiana as a Mental Health Counselor, School Counselor , or Psychologist.
Position Responsibilities
The successful candidate will serve as a member of the Counseling and Professional Education program area and will be expected to (a) teach graduate level courses within the school counseling program and mental health program; (b) cultivate and maintain relationships with mental health providers and/or schools in the area; (c) advise student counseling organization; and (d) participate in beneficial service to the school, college, university, community, and profession (e) demonstrate research in area of expertise.

The School of Education and Counseling are accredited by the State of Indiana, and are nationally accredited through the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The Counseling Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs are accredited through the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). We offer a Master’s in Education with a Human Services option as well as an Indiana Counselors Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (ICAADA) approved certificate in addiction counseling.
