Position Purpose
The School of Technology at the University of Central Missouri invites applications for a 9 month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level to teach classes in the Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology programs starting Fall 2023.
The successful candidate will teach Construction Management and Civil Engineering Technology courses, work with student organizations, develop curriculum and labs, foster industry contacts, recruit students, assess course results, and conduct scholarly research.

Doctorate preferred. Master’s Degree required.
NOTE: The earned doctorate is required prior to tenure consideration.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree must be in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or closely related field.
• Resume/Vita should support the candidate’s ability to teach Construction Management and Civil Engineering courses such as Heavy Construction, Engineering Geology, Mechanical and Electrical Systems, Statics, Construction/Engineering Materials, Hydraulics, Foundation Design, Concrete and Steel Design, and other related courses.
Professional credentials (CPC, LEED AP, PMP, etc) preferred
Professional licensure and registration (PE, AIA) preferred
Prior teaching experience at a college or university level
Computer Skills

Communicate effectively in spoken and written English is mandatory
US domestic construction and/or civil engineering industry experience preferred.
