Description | The Computer Science Department is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty candidate who is able to teach students from diverse backgrounds in the undergraduate Computer Science major. The primary teaching assignments will be in the on-campus Computer Science undergraduate program during the academic year, with the potential to teach online graduate courses in related programs. A speciality in one of our 5 concentrations is welcome, but not required. (The 5 concentrations are: Cybersecurity & Secure Software Design, Data Analytics & Machine Learning, Web & Mobile App Development, Game Design & Development, and General Computer Science.) The candidate should also be able to develop a dynamic research program that will advance the research opportunities for undergraduates. |
Minimum Qualifications | PhD in computer science, cybersecurity, computer engineering, data science or related field from an accredited university by date of appointment; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by a teaching statement and/or teaching evaluations. |
Authorization to work in the US | Employer will consider sponsorship. |
Preferred Qualifications | Experience teaching computer science classes; experience teaching specialty courses in one of the 5 concentrations; commitment to excellence in teaching as demonstrated by teaching evaluations from at least one year of part-time or full-time teaching gained concurrently or at any time; additional knowledge in cybersecurity or artificial intelligence is also preferred; effective written and oral communication skills. |
