Two full-time faculty positions have become available through the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami due to new grant funding for Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Teacher-Child Interaction Training. These positions will be on the non-tenure, clinical educator track at the rank of Assistant Professor. Both are with the Division of Clinical Psychology at the Mailman Center for Child Development.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy- Community Connect

One position involves: provision of clinical services to families of young children with behavioral problems and families with children at risk for physical abuse using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy in at-risk neighborhood treatment locations in Miami (little Havana); supervision of psychology trainees and participation in the clinical psychology training program; and participation in clinical research. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.

University of Miami Teacher-Child Interaction Training

This position involves: implementation of a RCT and TCIT in classrooms with young children with disabilities; supervision of research staff; participation in the clinical psychology training program, and participation in clinical research. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred.

Requirements for these position include: APA- approved internship and Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology; and licensure in Florida or or license-eligible.

Patient safety is a top priority.
