Position Summary
The Indiana University School of Medicine-Fort Wayne (IUSM-FW) is seeking candidates for a full-time Assistant Professor position in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Doctorate or Terminal degree is required. Minimum qualifications include an MD, PhD, or MD/PhD (or equivalent), eligibility for licensure in Indiana if MD. Appointment level is to be determined by qualifications and experience. Successful applicants should have medically related teaching experience and will be expected to contribute to the IUSM Phase I teaching mission in the areas of biochemistry and cell biology. Applicants should demonstrate an exceptional record of teaching as well as the ability to establish an active, externally funded research program in some area of medical education or an area that compliments our existing research portfolio in neuroscience, inflammation, and immunology. Candidates conducting cutting-edge research in in biochemistry, cellular signaling, epigenetics, or molecular biology are especially encouraged to apply. Opportunities exist for collaborations with multiple departments throughout the School of Medicine.
