Posting Text | The University of South Dakota is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor for the Audiology program in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. This 11-month position will have a start date of May 2024 or sooner if available. Qualifications: Qualifications include an AuD or PhD degree in Audiology (ABD will be considered) or a related field with experience in teaching, research, and clinical service. A South Dakota license in Audiology or eligibility is required. Applicants need to possess or hold qualifications for ASHA CCC-A and/or ABA Certification. Potential to develop and maintain a research program in their area of expertise. We prefer clinic experience in the areas of audiologic evaluations, hearing aids, and tinnitus but other areas of expertise will be considered. Two years of clinical experience required. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include clinical education, pursuit of a research program in a topic related to audiology, and service to the department, college, and university. Didactic classroom education, supervision of audiology clinical practicum, student recruitment, and mentorship of student research projects are part of the job duties. We expect the successful candidate to be an engaging educator committed to a collaborative and welcoming environment. A wide variety of audiology-related topic areas would fulfil department needs. This position’s primary responsibility will be in the didactic and clinical education for the Doctor of Audiology program.
