Job Summary:


Gonzaga University's Department of Nursing in Spokane, WA seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor beginning fall 2023 to teach in the Department of Nursing. The department is interested in applicants who are experienced educators with background teaching campus-based didactic courses and practicum/clinical courses. If hired, the candidate must be willing to relocate to the campus location in Spokane, WA area.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Earned Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree or PhD in Nursing; a doctoral degree in a related field is acceptable if the master's degree is in nursing.
  • Master of Science degree in nursing; a master's degree in a related field is acceptable if the Doctoral degree is in nursing.
  • Eligible for an unencumbered Washington state RN license.
  • Demonstrated scholarship (e.g., clinical practice, presentations, and/or publications) and demonstrated ability to articulate a specific agenda for scholarly work and/or research.
  • Previous teaching record of teaching undergraduate nursing students including didactic and practicum courses.
  • Record of supporting students with diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated record of implementing cultural competence in an academic and health care settings.
