Position Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), seeks a board certified / board eligible physician to join our expanding Pediatric Nephrology Section. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.

The role is employed by the Medical College of Wisconsin and provides care at Children’s Wisconsin locations in Northeast Wisconsin. Both organizations are based in the Milwaukee area. The Medical College of Wisconsin pediatric specialty providers who work at the nationally ranked Children’s Wisconsin are members of Children’s Specialty Group, a strong group practice of more than 680 elite pediatric specialty physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants.

This position is located in Northeast Wisconsin as part of an innovative collaboration between Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health and ThedaCare . These top-quality health care organizations are partnering to improve the health and well-being of children and adolescents in Northeast and Central Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, through joint venture called Connected for Kids . This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with primary and specialty care providers at these organizations to improve patient outcomes. The connection between the organizations helps position our physicians to successfully support the needs of patients and their families.

About Children’s Wisconsin

Children’s Wisconsin is an independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. The hospital, with locations in Milwaukee and Northeast Wisconsin, is recognized as one of the leading pediatric health care centers in the United States. Children’s Wisconsin provides primary care, urgent care, emergency care, specialty care, mental and behavioral health services, community health services, foster and adoption services, child advocacy services and health insurance plans. Each year, the Children’s Wisconsin team has more than 4 million touch points with kids and families through medical care, advocacy, research and education. In Northeast Wisconsin, Children’s Wisconsin is expanding its services to provide increased access to outstanding pediatric sub-specialty care. This includes a pediatric hospital, with a Pediatric Unit, Level III NICU and Infusion Center, which is located at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, Wis. A multispecialty pediatric ambulatory clinic with on-site laboratory and radiology services opened in Appleton, Wis. in 2023.

Position Requirements:

Candidates should be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Nephrologyand currently hold or be able to obtain an unrestricted license to practice in the State of Wisconsin.

Rank upon appointment will be commensurate with experience.
