The Department of Mathematics has 28 tenure system faculty members, a postdoctoral program, approximately 50-60 graduate students, and 250 math majors. Position Summary
The Mathematics Department at the University of North Texas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in combinatorics to begin Fall 2024. Strengths in the department historically include algebraic combinatorics. The successful candidate must demonstrate an active research record with the potential for exceptional research and exhibit excellence in teaching. The responsibilities of the position include pursuing research in combinatorics and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in mathematics at the time of appointment, a record of high-quality research and publications, and evidence of a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to outstanding applicants with previous academic research experience and college teaching experience.
