Work Schedule: This tenure track position has summers off! Regular schedule is mid-Aug to mid-May with pay and benefits over 12 months.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing instruction in mathematics each semester and may include summer assignments. This position is a full-time tenure-track assignment responsible for providing instruction in mathematics, with an additional emphasis in technical mathematics. This position will teach at NIC's main campus and Parker Technical Center based on enrollment needs.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience: Master's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, or related field required. Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of students, faculty, and staff from multi-cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven dynamic classroom leadership and the ability to foster enthusiasm in students.
  • Highly motivated with the vision and ability to expand Math Education.
  • Proficiency in the set-up and use of alternate delivery methods (e.g., Internet and inter-active video) preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to use a personal computer and associated peripherals and current version of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, Internet, and alternative delivery systems (e.g., internet and interactive video) at a proficient level.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone and copier
