Job Summary
The
Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program at the University of Southern Mississippi
invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning
August 2024. The MFT Program is located in The School of Child and Family
Sciences (CFS) within the College of Education and Human Sciences. The school offers an AAFCS
accredited Bachelor of Science degree in Child and Family Sciences with two
emphases: family science and child development; a Master’s Degree in Child and
Family Sciences; and a COAMFTE accredited Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. CFS is also
home to the Center for Child Development and the Center for Family Therapy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field (by August 2024). Licensed or license eligible as an LMFT in Mississippi. Evidence of strong research skills and aligned scholarship or demonstrated potential for developing a scholarly research program.

Preferred Qualifications
Credentialed as an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. Prior teaching experience. Experience with COAMFTE accreditation.
