Description

The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Arts and Science at New York University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the assistant professor level.

 

Social Cognitive Science: We seek candidates focusing on social cognitive science, including scholars who take a cognitive science perspective to study topics such as social and affective processes, social neuroscience, theory of mind, social evaluation, cooperation, communication, representations of social relationships and groups, group decision making, stereotypes, moral cognition, or cognitive biases. We will prioritize research taking novel computational or other methodological approaches to these questions that will bridge between the Cognition and Perception and Social Psychology areas within the Psychology department. Candidates for this position will be considered for joint appointments across the departments’ doctoral programs in Cognition and Perception and Social Psychology.

 

Appointments are expected to begin September 1, 2024, pending budgetary and administrative approval.

Pay Transparency

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000.
