General Description / Primary Purpose
University of North Florida, in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Professor for the Department of Psychology. Duties and responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (3-3 teaching load) in their area of specialization and for developing and maintaining a research program in which they mentor graduate and undergraduate students, with a commitment to helping students from diverse backgrounds succeed. The faculty member will be expected to develop new courses to support the Africana Studies major. The faculty member will also be expected to provide service to the University at the program, departmental, college, and/or university level as well as the greater Jacksonville community and the profession. UNF faculty are expected to maintain excellence in all phases of instruction, research/scholarship/creative activity, and service. Position requires a Ph.D. degree in Psychology or related field.
