Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry, Physics and Atmospheric Sciences (CPAS) in the College of Science, Engineering and Technology invites applications for a Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) position in experimental organic/medicinal chemistry.

Qualifications


Minimum Required Education
Ph.D. in Chemistry.
Minimum Required Experience
Post Doctoral research experience is required.
Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications
None required.
Qualifications
  • Applicants at the assistant professor level must have a promising research agenda and a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate student education and success.
  • Particular interest in candidates who will contribute to our efforts to provide support and opportunities for students to pursue research careers in organic chemistry and related areas.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Successful candidates are expected to establish and sustain a vibrant research program funded externally.
  • Serve as effective teachers and mentors at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Provide service to the department, the university, and the profession.
  • This position includes, but is not limited to, organic synthesis, organic reaction development, natural products, physical organic chemistry, biochemistry and medicinal chemistry.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
