About UC Blue Ash

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Accounting Educator position in the Business & Economics Department. This is a non-tenure track position. UC Blue Ash College is one of the largest regional colleges in Ohio and one of the largest and most diverse colleges at the University of Cincinnati. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 4500 students. The college was selected as a winner of the Cincinnati Business Courier’s 2021 Best Places to Work award.


Job Overview

Faculty responsibilities include teaching a variety of courses including, but not limited to: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I & II, Cost Accounting, and Introduction to Taxation.

 

Responsibilities include teaching twelve credit hours per term, fall and spring semesters, including day, evening, and possibly weekend classes. Responsibilities also include participating in the governance and committee work of the Department, College, and University, and ongoing professional development, which is discipline-specific or in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
 


Essential Functions
  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.
  • Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
  • Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
  • Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.

Minimum Requirements

Prior to effective date of appointment:

  • A Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Must be a Certified Public Accountant.
  • A minimum of one academic year of college-level teaching experience, which must have included teaching at least one course in Accounting.
