The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension is seeking an Assistant Professor of Medicine to provide patient care and education and the University of Colorado Hospital.

Duties include: 

Clinical: Inpatient renal consult services (teaching and attending-based), outpatient chronic dialysis, outpatient clinic, and occasional attending on the general internal medicine service. 

Teaching: Didactic interaction with students, residents, and Renal fellows, in addition to more formal teaching, such as attending morning report, Renal Grand Rounds, clinical conference, and journal club. 

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position has been established at $175,000 – $185,000

 

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications: MD or DO and Board Certiifed in Nephrology

Required Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong medical knowledge in the diagnosis and management of acute kidney injury and all aspects of critical care nephrology, chronic kidney disease, end-stage kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, and other common outpatient renal problems. 

Preferred Qualifications: Successfully completed fellowship training in nephrology. Teaching experience such as designing a nephrology-based curriculum, lectures on nephrology topics will be viewed favorably. A preference for outpatient nephrology will also be viewed favorably.
