Description

The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics in the Hankamer School of Business at Baylor University invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track) position in Business Analytics. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in areas such as analytical modeling, data mining, data visualization, advanced statistical methods, and database management. Candidates with expertise in other areas of analytics will be considered. Strong candidates will have proficiency in relevant programming languages (R, Python), databases and database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop), business intelligence platforms, and analytic software.

Our department and the Department of Statistical Science jointly offer the MS in Business Analytics degree in person and online. The successful candidate will be supporting that degree program. Candidates should be devoted to excellence in teaching with an interest in using technology in the classroom. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

The Hankamer School of Business (http://www.baylor.edu/business/ ) is AACSB accredited and home to the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics (https://www.baylor.edu/business/isba/ ). The Information Systems and Business Analytics Department has 35 full-time faculty supporting three full-time MIS degrees (undergraduate MIS, MSIS, and Ph.D.), an online and a face-to-face MSBA, as well as business school service courses in quantitative business analysis (QBA), MIS, and business communications. Qualifications

Candidates should possess or expect to earn before August 2024 a doctorate in statistics, analytics, information systems, or a closely related field or a master's in one of those fields with significant industry experience. Along with these academic and professional credentials, applicants should have the ability to collaborate effectively with other faculty in a dynamic team-oriented educational environment.

This is a twelve-month position, and the successful candidate will teach ten sections of courses throughout the academic year.
