Job Description Summary
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor beginning fall semester, August 16th, 2022. Auburn University’s clinical program adheres to a scientist-practitioner training model and offers state-of-the-art resources for clinical research, including excellent graduate students, ample laboratory space and access to the Auburn University MRI Research Center, the Auburn University Psychological Services Center, and other facilities. The clinical program has been APA accredited since 1981, and in 2019 we were awarded the maximum accreditation period of 10 years.
 
 Candidates will contribute to the education and training of undergraduate and graduate students, including teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise and providing effective advisement and mentorship to a diverse population of students. Candidates are expected to maintain a strong research program, with potential for extramural funding, while contributing to an inclusive learning and working environment. 
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications: Candidates should have an independent research program in clinical psychology, broadly defined, ideally with interests that complement or bridge strengths with the department’s existing faculty. A promising record of publications and a high potential for external funding is required. Candidates with a clear and sustained commitment to principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in their scholarly work are highly desirable.  Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and be license eligible in Alabama. ABD candidates will be considered but must have a Ph.D. by the start date or the offer will be withdrawn.
