Position Summary
The University of Alabama is accepting applications for Assistant or Associate Professor of Trombone. The School of Music is seeking a dynamic teacher and accomplished performer with expertise in trombone. The successful applicant will teach, advise, and recruit undergraduate and graduate trombone students; administrate a highly active and nationally recognized trombone studio; direct trombone choir; teach courses in trombone techniques; collaborate with ensembles directors and other School of Music faculty; and engage in other appropriate university service. This is a tenure-track position.
Detailed Position Information

The successful applicant will teach, advise, and recruit undergraduate and graduate trombone students; administrate a highly active and nationally recognized trombone studio; direct trombone choir; teach courses in trombone techniques; collaborate with ensemble directors and other School of Music faculty; and engage in other appropriate university service. This is a tenure-track position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Successful recruiting and teaching experience at the college/university level is preferred. Documented performing experience at an artistic level with appropriate terminal degree earned (MM required). The successful candidate will demonstrate skills covering the wide spectrum of trombone performance.
