Ruiz Department  of Ophthalmology & Visual Science , McGovern Medical School  at UTHealth Houston , is seeking a board-certified clinician with fellowship training in neuro-ophthalmology to join our neuro-ophthalmology division . This is an academic appointment with research and teaching opportunities and expectations. 

 

 Position Key Accountabilities:

 

We are seeking a clinician interested in building a busy practice at our primary location, Robert Cizik Eye Clinic , in the Texas Medical Center . Other responsibilities may include resident and/or fellow supervision at our county hospital, Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital , which is central to and the primary location of our education programs.


 

Qualifications:

 

 

  • Texas Medical License or eligible for a Texas faculty temporary license. 

  • Board-certified/eligible in ophthalmology,

  • Fellowship training or equivalent in neuro-ophthalmology,

 

Academic track with potential for tenure. Appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level will be determined by experience.
