The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics, seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor (Academic Track) faculty position in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health (DOGPAH). A successful applicant will be expected to have (Associate rank) or develop (Assistant rank) an independent research program that leads to publication and/or presentation in peer-reviewed scholarly outlets and to seek extramural funding for that research. Engagement in teaching/mentoring and service to the University and professional community are also expected. Clinical service opportunities are available for interested clinicians.
DOGPAH is especially interested in candidates who contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of the academic community through their lived experiences, research, teaching, scholarship, and service. There are a wide range of resources for new faculty that may include programs such as tailored training, mentoring, and research funding through the Early Career Research Award (ECRA) and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). Salaries are based on the national Association of Administrators in Academic Pediatrics (AAAP) reported salaries; new faculty are hired at no less than 95% of the average of the past two years’ national median salary for rank and specialty.
 

Minimum Qualifications
● A doctoral degree in a health, mental/behavioral health, public health, social science, or related field, or an MD/DO with board eligibility or certification in Pediatrics, Medicine/Pediatrics, or Family Medicine and eligibility to be licensed in the state of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications
● Post-doctoral or fellowship research training and experience in a health science field
● Experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in the academic, research, and/or health care communities
