The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in environmental sustainability and policy to begin August 2020. The successful candidate will 1) establish a productive, extramurally-funded research program; 2) be committed to teaching excellence and student success using innovative teaching approaches and pedagogies, and mentoring undergraduate and graduate research; and 3) develop collaboration on urban and socio-ecological initiatives. Teaching responsibilities include existing courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs in addition to developing elective courses within their area of specialization.
