The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women’s Health at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School has two full time positions available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians, as hospitalists, laborists or generalists in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. This position will treat diseases and disorders of the female pelvis. Also, treats women during prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. Performs all aspects of generalist OB/GYN practice including cesarean delivery, hysterectomy, and all standard outpatient OB/GYN procedures. Plans and participates in medical care to both inpatients and outpatients seen in University Hospital, on our newly renovated labor floor, our Ambulatory Practice, and other sites associated with Rutgers-NJMS. The practice is fully integrated in the teaching mission of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with faculty appointments in the medical school. The scope and breath of the applicant’s clinical activities will promote professional interests while covering clinical needs of the service and the educational mission. Professional interests in global health, clinical research, patient safety/quality and addiction medicine are encouraged.
Actively leads and participates in the education of medical students, housestaff and other ancillary personnel. Participates in postgraduate education on a state and national level. Leadership opportunities are available commensurate with experience and interest.
