Job Description

The Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) College of Business, Department of Management & Marketing, invites applicants for a 9-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professional Professor of Management to begin in fall 2024. This position is open to all areas of Management and disciplines in the field of management or business communication will be considered. This position will teach Business Communication, other management-related courses, and manage the College of Business student career-readiness activities, including student-focused business outreach in collaboration with the TAMUCC Career and Professional Development Center. This position is a 9-month appointment and will be located at the Corpus Christi campus. The workload for professional track faculty is a 5:5 per academic year. One course credit per semester may be dedicated to supporting and managing student career readiness activities.

The TAMU-CC College of Business is accredited in both business and accounting by AACSB International and serves a student body with various backgrounds on the Corpus Christi Island Campus, on the Brazos Valley RELLIS Campus, and online. The College curricula at the undergraduate and graduate levels include online BBA, MBA, and Master of Accountancy (MAcc) programs.

Required Qualifications:   

  • Terminal degree (e.g., PhD or DBA) in Management, Business Communication, or closely related discipline. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred by the time of appointment.

  • Demonstrated record of teaching excellence in business communication, management, or closely related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Earned degrees from an AACSB accredited institution.

  • A portfolio of professional managerial experience.

  • Experience with online instruction.

  • Experience with teaching and supporting student career readiness and career development.
