The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery (http://keck.usc.edu/orthopaedic-surgery/ ) is recruiting exceptional candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level who are exploring basic and translational aspects of musculoskeletal biology. A research focus centered on nerve, cartilage, ligament, bone or tendon tissues; musculoskeletal regenerative medicine; tissue engineering or the application of biomaterials for musculoskeletal repair and drug delivery is preferred. Background in the areas of bioengineering and material science is a plus. Excellent resources and strong collaborative opportunities exist across various USC schools and institutes, in particular with the Eli and Edythe Broad CIRM Center for Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, the Norris Cancer Research Institute, and the Viterbi School of Engineering. In addition to the translational mission of the department, faculty members play a critical role in the university’s educational mission.
