Assistant or Associate Professor - Food & Nutrition

The Food and Nutrition Program at Bowling Green State University is seeking applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Food and Nutrition. This is a 9-month tenure track position in the bargaining unit. Applicants must have expertise in food science, nutrition science, or a related field.
The Food and Nutrition Program is in the Department of Public and Allied Health, which is in the College of Health and Human Services. The Department of Public and Allied Health supports undergraduate and graduate degrees in Allied Health, Health Services Administration, Medical Laboratory Science, and Public Health. Teach food science, nutrition science, and/or metabolism courses in the undergraduate Dietetics and Nutrition Sciences degree programs, as well as the Master of Food and Nutrition and Dietetic Internship programs. Establish a record of high-quality research/instruction, obtain grants/awards, publish manuscripts, participate on academic committees, advise students, supervise graduate students, and provide professional service through community engagement and professional societies.

An earned academic doctorate in food science, nutrition, dietetics, or a closely related field; advanced ABD candidates will be considered but must complete the degree by the end of the first year of employment.
A demonstrated record of scholarship, as evidenced by peer reviewed publications, technical reports, and/or grants. RD/RDN is preferred but not required. The preferred candidates will have expertise in food science, nutrition science, or nutrition metabolism. Online teaching experience is preferred.
