ASSISTANT MANAGER-GRATEFUL PATIENT PROGRAM

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Assistant Manager for the Grateful Patient program to join the Heersink School of Medicine development office. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage faculty referral activity and connect the clinical faculty and the Development Office by introducing gift officers to clinical prospects when appropriate. This position will manage follow-up identification and qualification of referred grateful patients. 

The Assistant Manager must be able to function as an integral part of a team to facilitate a successful grateful patient program. This position reports directly to the Manager of the Grateful Patient Program within the Heersink School of Medicine

This position is full-time, hybrid eligible after the probationary period.

 

Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plans, manages, and improves vetting and operating processes. Captures meaningful data and creates reports reflecting performance and impact of faculty engagement activities
  • Works in partnership with Prospect Research and Management, gift officers, and development coordinators to assure an efficient and effective process of faculty engagement and clinical prospect identification to yield qualified prospects to portfolios
  • Leads monthly clinical discovery prospect review sessions with gift officers to assure timely execution of discovery and qualification activities
  • Develops patient follow-up letters; track and manage patient encounters
  • Provides Administrative support to Manager of the Grateful Patient Program as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Annually Salary Range: $52,555 - $60,000

 

Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Advancement, grateful patient and/or healthcare experience preferable; work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement
