Position Purpose
Full time, 9 month teaching position.
Effective teaching, service and scholarship.
Teaching and professional development activities for the profession are delivered in a variety of formats: face-to-face, hybrid, distance/video, and online. Teaching responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Graduate and Undergraduate CTE teacher education courses (e.g., CTE content, curriculum, teaching methods, assessment, and “just-in-time” SREB-based certification courses).
Graduate level CTE courses (e.g. CTE leadership, theory, and research.
Statewide CTE professional development courses for existing teachers and CTE administrators.
Courses leading to Missouri CTE teacher certification (trade, industrial, and health sciences), a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies and Training, a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in Secondary Education (CTE options, leading to professional teacher certification), and Master of Science and Education Specialist degrees in Career and Technical Education Leadership.
Curriculum development and oversight is required.
On-campus student orientation and recruitment are required.
Supervision of students in the field is required.
Undergraduate and graduate student degree advising is also expected (including in an articulated EdS-to-EdD Bridge program advising), as well as graduate student research projects and thesis advising.
Service to the university and profession is required.
Scholarship in the form of research, publications, state/national/international contributions, and grant writing activity is also required.

Experience
Evidence of effective teaching, service and scholarship.
Experience or education in career and technical education.
Working knowledge of secondary and postsecondary CTE delivery systems and CTE leadership.
