General Description:

This position is primarily responsible for assisting the Graphics Installation Specialist with graphics installation of a wide array of mediums (vinyl, wallpaper, stickers, 3 dimensional elements, etc.) in all Athletic Facilities & Grounds and does include painting responsibilities as needed.  Works closely with the print shop/graphics team/paint crew on implementation of designs per project specs.  Assists in preparing walls/spaces for new installs (interior & exterior of buildings).  Assists in applying paint to multiple surfaces including but not limited to walls, floors, doors, windows, etc.  Assists in the repair of minor cracks, holes and joints with caulk, plaster, or other fillers using the proper equipment.  Assists with applying touch-up techniques to multiple surfaces.  Helps prepare surfaces for painting & graphic install (includes, but not limited to, scraping, sanding, cleaning, patching, and repairing walls (drywall, plaster, block & concrete) per the Graphics Installation Specialist's request.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Graphic Installation Specialist with graphics installation in all Athletic Facilities & Grounds while working closely with the print shop/graphics team/paint crew on implementation of designs per project specs.
  • Assists in preparing surfaces for painting & graphic install (includes, but not limited to, scraping, sanding, cleaning, patching, and repairing walls (drywall, plaster, block & concrete).
  • Assists in the application of paint to multiple surfaces including but not limited to walls, floors, doors, windows, etc.
  • Assists in the repair of minor cracks, holes and joints with caulk, plaster, or other fillers using the proper equipment.
  • Assists in applying touch-up techniques to multiple surfaces.
  • Helps to ensure a clean and safe work environment during completion of work.
  • Other general maintenance duties as assigned.
 



Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:     

1+ years of commercial paint or graphic installation experience is preferred.

 

Skills:   

  • Knowledge of different mediums used in graphics implementation (required).
  • Ability to assist in the installation of multiple types of graphics (required).
  • Knowledge of different wall covering installations (required).
  • Skills to apply finish products (required).
  • Knowledge of paint application to different sub-straights (required).
  • Ability to match different paint colors and techniques (required).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to foster teamwork (required).
  • Ability to work with diverse populations in a positive manner (required).
  • Ability to complete projects on time (required).
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment (preferred).
  • Ability for critical thinking within the scope of work requested (preferred).
  • Ability to use multiple power tools (preferred).
