Department Summary

Position Summary

(Internal UO Only) The Assistant Football Coach's primary duty is to provide coaching assistance to the Head Coach during training and competitions for the University of Oregon’s football program. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, the Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.


Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Five years of combined Division I football playing/coaching experience.


Professional Competencies

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.


Preferred Qualifications

• Power 5 Football Conference experience.
• Master’s degree.
• Recruiting experience.
