Job Description

Responsibilities:
-Edits, proofreads, and format reports, publications, proposals, manuals, and other materials.
- Liaises with authors, reviewers, and designers to coordinate all phases of publication production or the review phase of course production.
-Tracks the status of assigned projects to ensure work stays on schedule and meets deadlines.

-Design materials according to accessibility requirements.


Education and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-Two years of related experience in writing, editing, proofreading, and updating electronic content.

Preferred:

-Experience developing WCAG and 508 compliant materials.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Advanced writing skills (using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation).

-Questioning (to elicit relevant information from subject matter experts).

-Evaluating information (for correctness, coherence, audience appropriateness, etc.).

-Analyzing information (understanding new concepts).

-Synthesizing complex information for new audiences.

-Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with general supervision.
