Position Title ASSISTANT DIRECTOR/TRANSFER STUDENT ENROLLMENT
Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Transfer Student Enrollment is responsible for promoting CMU Online programs and engaging with prospective transfer students in support of strategic enrollment goals. Providing physical presence at Macomb Community College in metro-Detroit, the Assistant Director will actively participate in regional/community outreach and engagement initiatives aimed at forming partnerships, bolstering transfer recruitment/enrollment, and creating awareness of CMU educational opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Three years of progressively advanced and related experience.
Proven experience in initiating outreach for purposes of promotion and cultivating relationships.
Proven and exceptional experience in providing customer or client service.
Ability to project a positive and professional image.
Demonstrated and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in a related field such as higher education administration or educational leadership.
Familiarity with the administration of academic programs in higher education.
Technical skillset in the use of CRMs, databases, and other platforms supporting student success (i.e. SLATE, ENGAGE, SAP).
Understanding of the philosophy and objectives of extended learning, off-campus instruction, non-traditional programs, career training and development.
Considerable knowledge of student educational policies and procedures including transfer agreements and policies between two- and four-year higher education institutions.
Understanding of transfer credit policy and requirements.
Demonstrated commitment to Leadership Standards of the university.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provides presence and daily operational functions of CMU satellite location at Macomb Community College in accordance with established policies and procedures for CMU and the community college partner.
Serves as primary contact within assigned region for generating transfer student leads into CMU online programs and providing in-person consultation to prospective transfer students regarding academic programs, transfer requirements, transfer options and inquiries; serves as a liaison to connect students with key university resources.
Responsible for generating, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with K-12 and community college constituents and engaging with their representatives to promote pathway opportunities into CMU Online programs.
Serves as a steward of the University by actively promoting CMU online degree programs and dual enrollment opportunities such as Fire UP! Forward via activities such as attending in person or virtual presentations, education fairs, orientations, and tabling events within assigned region.
Provides on-site and virtual student support services including unofficial transfer credit evaluations and test proctoring for students pursuing online graduate, undergraduate or transfer degree programs.
Collaborates with CMU transfer recruiters and acts as a liaison between University Center administrators and CMU stakeholders to ensure coverage across assigned region.
Works in partnership with the administrative/executive team in the development and implementation of transfer student enrollment and outreach initiatives that support strategic goals and objectives.
Engages, tracks, and monitors students enrolled in middle school & high school pathway programs, including early college and dual-enrolled students. Ensures successful transition from middle school and high school programs to secondary education.
Collaborates with administrative team to identify outlets and communication platforms to increase visibility, promote events, and raise awareness on CMU educational programs within assigned region.
Provides supplemental support to internal partners to enhance the student journey through the exploration, application, preparation, and return phases of any CMU Online program.
Provides ancillary support for academic programs delivered on site in face-to-face, hybrid or hyflex format.
Utilizes various platforms (SLATE, Datawarehouse, SAP, Engage) to track student status and enrollment; provide data-driven reports as directed.
