The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is the chief academic officer of the university. The Office of the Provost empowers and nurtures Aggies to succeed in experiential and transformational education and discovery to meet the needs of a complex world through the strategic development, effective delivery, and strong support of excellent academic programs and services. We’re seeking a highly regarded, higher education professional who is strategic, collaborative, and committed to the advancement and success of our students, faculty and staff, and global impact through research and scholarship as our next Assistant Director for the operations and management of internal and external communications for the Office of the Provost.
This opportunity inspires creativity, discernment and business acumen as your drive for accuracy in communication will be rewarded as you write, review, and edit written materials for a variety of channels (news, web, social, scripts, remarks), and prepare presentations as you communicate with appropriate stakeholders. And your years of experience in managing communications/media will enable your success as you develop university-level academic-related content to promote and position the university as leaders in higher education, strategic academic outcomes and innovation, student experience and preparedness, research impact, faculty affairs and impact on the state, nation, and world to stakeholders.

Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in communications or equivalent combination of education and experience coupled with seven years of experience in managing communications, media, and/or other related. The well-qualified applicant may have a Master’s degree in related field with seven years of progressively responsible experience in an area directly related to marketing communications and experience in executive leadership communications with marketing communications experience at a higher education institution.
