ASSISTANT DIRECTOR-TECHNOLOGY & PRODUCTION SERVICES

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hill Student Center (HSC) is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Director-Technology & Production Services. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all technology, A/V, and lighting systems within HSC-managed spaces, including inventory, repair, maintenance, and associated training for departmental personnel
  • Provides technical assistance and support to facility occupants and campus partners
  • Assists clients with recommendations, pre-event planning, and execution of event-related technology, A/V, and lighting
  • Ensures HSC-managed spaces are safe, secure, and properly maintained through collaboration with campus partners and external vendors
  • Functions as the lead technical expert for HSC and the Division of Student Affairs to assess audio-visual technology trends and issues and define technical solutions to meet university audio-visual technology needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Salary Range: $50,000--$55,000

 

Qualifications

 

Master's degree in a relatable field and one (1) year of relatable experience OR Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of relatable experience required.  Work experience may substitute for education requirement.  The ideal candidate should have demonstrated expertise with audio/visual systems, lighting systems, and other event/facility-specific technologies.
