Job Overview
Reporting to the Director of Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD), the Assistant Director will provide strategic direction and administration for the development, execution, collaboration, and assessment of all SALD leadership programs. The successful candidate will draw upon the University of Cincinnati strategic direction and the mission of Student Activities & Leadership Development to create and sustain innovative programs that foster holistic leadership development.
Essential Functions
- Create and sustain innovative programs and initiatives.
- Provide oversight for programs, initiatives, and events which includes occasional weekend and evening programming.
- Facilitate and enhance the ongoing leadership of education and/or organizational development programs for students, student governance leaders and registered organizations (i.e., teaching co-curricular course, direct leadership conferences, workshops seminars).
- Develop and review present student publications and resource materials including departmental booklet, leadership brochures, newsletter and general program information.
- Assist with budget planning and accounting associated with programmatic initiatives.
- Act as liaison and consultant with other units.
- May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental need.
Required Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Three (3) years of experience. Experience must include program management.

- Competitive salary range of $40,738.32 - $50,000 for this role, depending on the candidate's experience.
