Description
Sell, acquire, lease, develop and manage real estate transactions and assets for the University of Houston System(UHS). Assists the Executive Director and Director with the management and operational functions within the Officeof Real Estate Services. Manages a portfolio of system-wide mineral rights and real estate properties. Oversees financial performance, title stewardship, records, business leases and other real estate-related transactions.

Qualifications
Bachelors and 7 years experience.
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline, preferably business administration with emphasis in real estate or finance. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience: Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of directly job-related experience.
Certification/Licensing: Certified Property Manager or Institute of Real Estate Management or comparable professional designation in petroleum land management.
Additional Information / Preferred Qualifications:
Prefer Texas real estate license. Experience working in a corporate or state agency environment.
- Ability to partner with professional service providers to procure, plan and budget for daily operations including repairs, maintenance, tenant improvements and capital projects. ·
- Experience with robust lease management data base and software systems.
- Experience interpreting title commitments/policies and land surveys.
- Extensive experience interpreting real estate contracts and agreements with an important level of attention to detail and accuracy, planning, and organizational skills and coping with demanding situations, shifting priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present information and interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
