Brandeis University is delighted to announce a career opportunity as an Assistant Dir in Mandel Center for Humanities.

Major Job responsibilities:

  • Programming: Develops collaborative programs with on-campus and off-campus partners, includes partnering with Director of MCH on vision for Center and development of new initiatives. Oversees all MCH events and manages workers who perform routine event tasks such as creating fliers and promoting on social media. 30%

  • Funding: Runs internal funding competitions and gathers data on past funding initiatives. Manages external funding competitions (NEHC seed grants, Humanities Without Walls, etc.). 30%

  • Communications and outreach: Develops MCH web profile through website design, writing copy, video interviews, and social media. Attends NEHC and CHCI meetings/events where needed. 25%

  • Budget and office support: Maintains budget; tracks expenses; provides reports to Director on year-to-date spending. Manages student workers on day-to-day task related to office management and administration.

Job Requirement:

  • BA/BS required, MA/MS is preferred

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience is preferred.
