Essential Job Functions

  • Plans, organizes and implements major departmental educational and social events to encourage student involvement and engagement
  • Manages and facilitates department events, campuswide
  • Acts as the liaison with other departments for campuswide and departmental events through providing support and resources, as needed
  • Assesses and evaluates the department's programming, activities and services and develops strategic plans for improvement
  • Creates and implements various training programs to assist student organization leaders in their professional development
  • Assess, oversee and mitigate risk for department events, occurring throughout the year
  • Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget
  • Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
  • Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Moderate amount of experience working in student activities or other related experience 
  • Valid U.S. driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in higher education administration or a related field of study 
  • Experience with risk mitigation for nationally recognized fraternities and sororities

Qualified candidates must live or relocate within a daily commuting distance of the Charlotte Campus location upon hire.
