Job Overview

The Assistant Director of Program Management (ADPM) is responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly, and semester-long administration of the Master in Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program, which is fully online save for a few in-person residencies on Georgetown’s campus. They work with the Academic Director and their management team to coordinate faculty and students and resources from the McDonough School of Business so that students can successfully attend classes and earn their degree.

At least 50% of the time, the ADPM conducts Student Services work and responds to a large volume of student inquiries and needs that range broadly in content twice a year; and plans, organizes, and leads the execution of the logistics of two in-person residencies for the program: the Opening Residency and the Mid-Program Residency. Additionally, they play a lead role with graduation and end-of-program ceremony events, and sends weekly updates and announcements to the students through the university’s canvas LMS platform.

For about 35% of the time or when not conducting Student Services work and responding to student inquiries, the ADPM coordinates and plans with the many departments and teams that impact the execution of the MSBA program - including working with other MSB program management teams and benefits from best practices and standardized systems and processes. As well, they collaborate with colleagues for the successful registration, matriculation, and graduation of the MSBA cohorts.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reporting directly to the Associate Dean of Program Management, the Assistant Director of Program Management works closely and collaboratively with the MSBA Academic Director to further develop and expand the program - and daily with and alongside other program managers in the MSB, learning and developing best practices and participating in team meetings; and collaborates with MSB faculty, Career Services, and Alumni Relations to ensure a high quality, Georgetown educational experience.

This position’s work mode has been designated as Hybrid . Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree – preference for a Master’s degree
  • 3+ years of program management experience - preference for experience in higher education administration
  • Expert and effective email skills because communication occurs primarily by email
  • Proficiency and confidence with use of computers, technology, and the MS Office Suite of products, most especially Excel – preference for proficiency and intuition with Google products, Canvas, Banner, Cognos, and Qualtrics
  • Skill and proficiency in developing work relationships across a large organization; and ability to forge trusting and effective relationships with graduate students for the Student Services function of the role
  • Ability to produce high-quality reports to showcase program statistics, feedback, and ongoing development
  • Ability skills to plan for short- and long-term programs, events, and projects
  • Desire to work within and collaboratively within a team - this is not a solo job
  • Ability to work independently - with little to no supervision
  • Ability to resolve conflicts among a varied audience of program stakeholders
  • Organizational skills - in particular regarding the collection and collation of large volumes of information
  • Availability for occasional weekend work

Preferred qualifications

  • International experience
  • Fluency in more than one language
