 Assists in developing individual, corporate, and foundation relations in the Department of Athletics. Conducts research, prepares bios, cultivates relationships with donors. Maintains detailed files and data and prepares reports. Participates in development events and meetings to promote the Department of Athletics.
 The incumbent will serve as a member of the front-line fundraising team and assists in developing individual, corporate, and foundation relations in the Department of Athletics. The position will provide financial reporting, prospect management, and operational support by conducting research, preparing bios, cultivating relationships with donors, maintaining detailed files and data and preparing reports. Participates in development events and meetings to promote the Department of Athletics.

Essential Functions • Assists in developing individual, corporate, and foundation relations in the Department of Athletics. • Prepare and report athletics development officer productivity and prospect activity, as well as manage future pipeline, year-to-date fundraising progress, and special project fundraising progress. • Participate and coordinate athletic development major gift pipeline and prospect management meetings. • Conducts research to provide leads and insight on prospective donors. Prepares bios on donors. May vet new prospects via telephone or email. • Participates in reaching departmental goals. • Cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and quickly and effectively resolves any of their issues or inquiries. • Maintains detailed files and data regarding donors and their activities. • Assists in reporting on pledge activities. • Serve as liaison to internal departments within Department of Athletics and Philanthropic and Alumni Engagement. • Assist with office and expense report management. • Attends relevant events and meetings to promote the Department of Athletics. • Participates in athletics development events. • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and produce high quality work product. • Skilled in word processing, Excel, reporting, email, and database software programs. • Experience in creating reports and using ticketing and advancement databases is required [for example, Advance, PacFUND, Affinaquest, Millennium, Raiser's Edge, Sales Force, etc.] • A desire to pursue a career in higher education development and/or athletics administration.
Physical Effort Desk work, extensive computer work, phone work. Little physical effort required. The position is mostly sedentary. Will be required to walk and stand at Athletics Department events.
