Job Description

Position DescriptionThe exciting new Assistant Director of Enrollment Management position provides support and leadership for Fort Hays State University’s recruitment efforts through reporting and research, assisting with marketing, and engaging campus with best practices and the execution of strategic growth initiatives of all student populations, including but not limited to: on-campus, online, international, and early college. The assistant director will report to the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and works with a dynamic team which has led the university to growth 19 of the last 20 years.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree
  • Experience managing sets of data
  • Experience working independently and in small groups

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in an applicable field, such as Student Affairs, Statistics, Marketing
  • Experience with search engine optimization (SEO), email, and digital advertising creation and placement
  • Previous program management or event coordination
  • Significant experience with evaluating data
  • Experience communicating detailed information in small and large groups
  • Experience in student recruitment
  • Experience working with third-party vendors

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of student recruitment and experiential learning
  • Experience using a customer relationship management tool
  • Experience in project management
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly related to new software, data management systems, and web-based administrative systems; word processing and spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of developing content for the web and social media campaigns
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently without supervision
  • Track record of being a self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment and work autonomously

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data and statistics to identify trends/patterns that impact recruitment and measure the effectiveness of marketing and recruitment tactics
  • Collaborate with members of the internal and external marketing teams to develop fresh, bold, and purposeful recruitment materials
  • Assist in developing new target markets and develop strategies to increase enrollment
  • Maintain relationships with appropriate campus constituents and off campus referral sources
  • Work closely with the Institutional Engagement team to target, explore, qualify, and transition new accounts efficiently and effectively
  • Utilize CRM to effectively manage recruitment and make strategic, data-driven decisions on measurable recruitment activities to achieve annual enrollment goals
  • Implement, coordinate, and participate in lead generation events and activities, both on and off campus.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
