This position is a member of the Admission Office staff team in the College of Law. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Admissions, the Admissions Counselor plays an important role in the design and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and admission plan that meets the College of Law’s targeted enrollment goals.
Position Overview
Admissions Counselor
The Admissions Counselor will assist in the admissions process, arrange for visits and tours of the Moscow location, develop new recruiting initiatives, and advise prospective and current students. The Admissions Counselor will create programming, resources, and strategic initiatives to recruit underrepresented student populations. The Admissions Counselor will be assigned other projects by the Assistant Dean and will participate in the administrative and planning work of the College of Law Admissions Office.

Position Qualifications


Required Experience
Admissions Counselor
  • One year working in an administrative setting


Assistant Director of Admissions:

  • One year experience working in higher education; A Juris Doctor degree may substitute for this requirement

Required Education
Admissions Counselor and Assistant Director of Admissions:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Required Other
Admissions Counselor and Assistant Director of Admissions:
  • Ability to regularly travel throughout the year nationally

Additional Preferred
Admissions Counselor and Assistant Director of Admissions:
  • Experience working with CRM tools
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email software, and centralized computer information systems
  • Experience overseeing and maintaining a budget
  • Experience with marketing and social media communication
  • Effective verbal and written communication, public relations, and organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and conduct strategic planning
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Admissions Counselor and Assistant Director of Admissions:
  • Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 40 lbs

Degree Requirement Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire
