Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Admissions & Recruitment (AD) serves as an admissions counselor for non-UNC prospects and an admissions advisor to pre-business students. In collaboration with the Associate Director of Admissions & Recruitment, the AD will also be responsible for yield program strategy and operations surrounding a select population of high-achieving prospects. The AD will serve on the evaluation team and be a voting admissions committee member for various review cycles within the Undergraduate Business Program (UBP), and is also responsible for various processes within the area of scholarship management and donor relations for the Undergraduate Business Program.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required, as well as level of comfort using distance technology communication tools (such as Zoom). Ability to attend and/or manage events in the evening hours and some weekends during peak recruiting periods (August-November and January-April), and a willingness to travel 5% to represent UNC Kenan-Flagler at national and international conferences and/or recruitment activities.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
One (1) or more years of experience in admissions, higher education, business development, recruiting, scholarship management and/or a minimum of three (3) years of related business experience in a relevant field.

Campus Security Authority Responsibilities

This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority in accordance with the Clery Act. This position will be required to report Clery crimes to the Clery Compliance Manager and complete annual training about reporting responsibilities.
